EDUPALL presents a standardised model curriculum for undergraduate medical students

The 3rd consortium meeting of EDUPALL Project took place from the 7th to 9th of November 2018 in Dublin, Ireland.

One year after the ERASMUS Plus funded project EDUPALL was kicked off, the steering group is proud to present a standardised model curriculum for undergraduate medical students in palliative care. Currently, there is a notable is of lack of parity in the opportunity for student doctors to learn how to practice palliative care in the European region. In many countries the provision of training in palliative care is non-mandatory, or not available at all. The lack of the provision of training in palliative care is crucial for the development of doctors, and the patients and families they care for. The standardized model curriculum for undergraduate medical students provides a framework for those wishing to develop an undergraduate curriculum in palliative medicine by outlining the key concepts in knowledge and comprehension.

People interested in this standardized model curriculum as well as next steps of the EDUPALL project should sign up for the EAPC pre-conference meeting in Berlin that will be held in the Estrel hotel on the 22nd of May 2018. The registration for the 1st multiplier event is included in the registration form for the EAPC Congress.
