PMU WHO CC meets new consortium partners in Padua

The PD_Pal project, the first multi-center European project of the medical area coordinated by the University of Padua, will develop an innovative approach to the care and management of people with Parkinson's by integrating the technology in home management and defining new European standards in the pathways of treatment of the disease in the advanced phase. Postgraduate palliative care education for all healthcare providers in Europe: Results from an EAPC survey

According to the WHO, inadequate skills and capacities of healthcare workers are one of the four barriers hindering the access to palliative care. The End of Life Research Group from Brussels and Ghent led by Professors Luc Deliens and Joachim Cohen works towards achieving the best palliative and end of life care. As an initiative of this research group a two-day seminar “Public Health and Palliative Care: Shifting the Paradigm” was held in the Palace of the Royal Academies in Brussels from the 25th to 26th of October.
